FLYIT SIMULATORS THE NEW STANDARD IN AVIATION TRAINING September 15, 2004 HELI EXPO 2005 This will be FLYIT’s fifth year. We will again be there with two simulators conducting flight demonstrations.
JAA APPROVAL FLYIT Simulators has received JAA approval as an FNPT 1. FNPT 2 approval is expected by November 2004.
DYNCORP INTERNATIONAL, LLC “A Veritas Capital Company’s” SIMULATION SOLUTION FLYIT Simulators as a subcontractor to DynCorp International, LLC, has been notified of a successful bid on the U.S. Security Assistance Management Directorate’s Fair Share Support Program Commercial Support Services. FLYIT Simulators will be the single source of affordable simulation on this program.
WORLDWIDE DELIVERIES The FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator has been delivered to customers in the United States, Canada, Colombia, Belgium, Spain, Ireland and South Africa. Additionally, Civil Aviation Authority approval has been granted as well.
Frontier Aviation a FAR 121 operator in Fairbanks, Alaska has placed an order for a BE-1900 Flight Simulation Device. The BE – 1900 FSD is expected to be qualified as a level 5 FTD.
Era Aviation a FAR 121 operator has taken delivery of a DHC-6A Twin Otter Simulator in Anchorage, Alaska. This is the first delivery of this kind of device to the State. Era uses it for in house proficiency training of their pilots as well as a screening tool for new hires.
FLYING W has recently taken delivery of a Professional Airplane Simulator for use by their Part 141 approved flight school. It is housed uniquely so that students may observe training from outside the simulator.
Silver State Helicopters of North Las Vegas has taken delivery of their 7th FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator. The simulators are integrated into their VFR and IFR training program. Some of their simulators are operating as much as 14 hours per day.
The Medallion Foundation a non profit flight safety organization in Alaska recently took delivery of their first Professional Helicopter Simulator.
Virginia Helicopters of Shenandoah Valley, Virginia took delivery of their first PHS in June.
Mauna Loa Helicopters and Blue Hawaiian Helicopters will be taking delivery of FLYIT Simulators Professional Helicopter Simulators in October of 2004.
NEW THREE VIEW INSTRUCTOR STATION IS NOW A STANDARD FEATURE
FLYIT Simulators has developed a new instructors station. The new station incorporated an additional flat screen that depicts a moving map view, radio frequency monitoring and a rather unique feature of real time control movement. With these improvements it is now easier to remain in the instructors station and emulate ATC. Further with the control monitoring system you can actually see the students inputs to the controls. All new orders have the new station as a standard feature.
BENDIX KING GOLD CROWN simulated radios are now standard in all FLYIT Simulators flight simulation devices.
LAW ENFORCEMENT The Polk County Sheriff’s Department, Florida was the first law enforcement agency to purchase a FLYIT simulator to supplement their training and safety requirements. Polk County Sheriff’s Major Francis Hart, aviation unit manager, was on hand and eagerly provided endorsements for the FLYIT Professional Helicopter Simulator.
TACTICAL FLIGHT OFFICERS (TFO) STATION INSTRUCTION TO BE AVAILABLE BY MID - YEAR An industry first -The TFO station is a monitor that mounts on either side of the center console, displaying the simulated gyro stabilized camera system image. The camera hand controller allows the TFO to accurately follow a target on the ground as the pilot flies orbits. The TFO can zoom in and out to identify targets. This panel configuration can also be used to display a full set of copilot instruments. Now, pilot and TFO can receive CRM training simultaneously.
FLYIT Simulators CEO has been selected to sit on the FAA’s Aviation Rulemaking Committee (ARC) Part 135 as well as a select subcommittee under FAR Part 60 Simulation. The Part 1135 group is charted to review and rewrite FAR 135/125 for on demand charter and cargo operations while the select subcommittee shall be writing a standard for lower level device utilizing new technology. FLYIT Simulators CEO was also recently awarded his Master Flight Instructor designation by NAFI
