April 28, 2009 - FLYIT Simulators ships first twin engine AS355 Helicopter Simulator to ROTOR-LIFT AVIATION
ROTOR-LIFT AVIATION has received Australian CASA Certification for their FLYIT Simulators. ROTOR-LIFT is FLYIT Simulators official representative for Australia & New Zealand.
ROTOR-LIFT AVIATION a leader in Helicopter services since 1991 in Tasmania, Australia has purchased two helicopter flight simulators from FLYIT SIMULATORS located in Carlsbad, CA for its helicopter training and re-currency requirements. One FLYIT Simulator provided is a Professional Helicopter Simulator model which has six flight model capabilities. The other is a custom model AS355 Twin Star (also known as a Twin Squirrel) introducing a full function Auto Pilot and dual Garmin 430W’s. The flight simulators are installed in a mobile self contained trailer/classroom.
ROTOR-LIFT AVIATION states that these FLYIT SIMULATORS are providing the same results at a fraction of the cost of training in a real multi engine IFR helicopter. The cockpit of the FLYIT AS355 simulator is a replica of the actual IFR helicopter creating a seamless transition by the student, which translates into higher competency levels at a lower cost. All approaches can be taught, including RNAV (GNSS) from an Australia wide database. This level of realism in a simulator offers a significant boost to the student progress. It looks, feels, and flies like a real helicopter! ROTOR-LIFT has a safety record that is outstanding, and they state that these FLYIT Simulators are contributing to that record.
